It is prohibited for a non-Canadian to purchase, directly or indirectly, any residential property.
Conditions: effective January 1, 2023; exceptions for permanent residents, temporary residents meeting conditions, and diplomats

Non-Canadians may not buy residential property of any kind, whether directly or indirectly (Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act).
